The elders (trustees) recognise the importance of KCF’s ministry to children, young people and vulnerable adults, and this includes our responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all those entrusted to our care. KCF is committed to:
- Valuing, listening to, and respecting children, young people and vulnerable adults as well as promoting their welfare and protection;
- Providing care and help in ways that strive to ensure that all who we serve in Jesus’ name are equally respected, valued and loved;
- Safe recruitment, supervision and training for all church workers;
- Ensuring that church workers adhere to the agreed procedures of our Safeguarding Policy;
- Adopting a procedure for reporting and dealing with concerns about possible abuse;
- Encouraging and supporting parents/carers;
- Supporting those affected by abuse;
- Maintaining good links with statutory childcare authorities and other agencies.
