Sundays

We gather on Sundays to worship God in a contemporary way that glorifies him and encourages us to live out our faith through the week.

Morning service

Our morning service starts at 10:30am. From 10:00am, there’s coffee available so come early to enjoy a drink and a chat.

We’re blessed with lots of very gifted musicians at King’s. Our worship is lively, and we sing a wide variety of songs from the traditional through to modern.

Central to our worship is hearing God speak to us as the Bible is preached. Our pastors are committed to explaining the Bible clearly, and applying it in a way which is relevant to modern life.

The first Sunday each month is an all-age service, and we share lunch together afterwards too. On the other weeks, there is a crèche (pre-schoolers) and King's Kids (up to Year 6).

King's Kids

King's Kids runs every Sunday except the first in each month, when we have an all-age service. Children sit with their families for the first 15 minutes or so of the main service, and then go out to King's Kids where they’re taught the same passage as the adults, but in an age-appropriate way, along with lots of other fun activities, songs and games.

Evening Service

Our evening service starts at 5:30pm, and there is tea, coffee (and usually cakes) available. The service has a very informal and interactive seminar style, exploring the Bible’s relevance to our lives today.

Baptism & communion

Like Christians throughout history, we observe baptism and communion, as Jesus commanded us.

When people come to faith in Jesus Christ, we baptise them by immersion - that means we plunge the person under water and bring them up again signifying that they've been brought to new life with Jesus. Baptism itself doesn't actually do anything - it's an important outward and public sign that the person now belongs to Jesus.

At communion we remember the death of Jesus together by eating bread and drinking wine (actually, we use grape juice) which represent his body and blood. We celebrate communion twice each month: on the first Sunday during a fellowship lunch, and on the third Sunday during the morning service. Anyone who loves and follows Jesus is welcome to share communion with us.
